Kare 11 Video Transcript
An upcoming skydiving event is targeted toward men and women ages 50 and older.
The Fifth Annual Martini Skydive, sponsored by Aging But Dangerous, challenges people over 50 to self-fulfill, self-actualize and live their lives to the fullest.
Jean Ketcham, co-founder of Aging But Dangerous, and Sister Rosalind Gefre, the 84-year-old “Flying Nun,” dropped by KARE Saturday to talk about the upcoming jump.
Aging But Dangerous aims to help people face their fears and challenges about aging with helpful information and events like the skydive.
The Martini Jump (you get a martini when you land) will donate a percentage of the proceeds to a women’s home for tortured and abused women run by the Sisters of St Joseph. It will take place Saturday, August 16 at the Westside Skydivers in Winsted, Minnesota. To register, visit www.agingbutdangerous.com.
